FEBRUARY 2004
God is truly Jehovah-Jireh. I'm 19 years old and is on my 2nd semester of college. Because of schedule and commute, I
go to 2 different colleges: a Bible college and a Jr College. I work part time and earn $7.86/hour. That's not a lot of money,
but to help out my parents, I pay for my books. When I bought my books, the money I have in my account went down from over
$500 to around $150. For the VERY FIRST time in my life, I worried about my finances for my future. I looked forward to my
next paycheck, which would be in the end of January (sad to say, I didn't expect much because I took a week and a half of
vacation from work). I told my mom how the expenses took out most my money and she said "Well, that's life. Just live from
paycheck to paycheck then." I stressed and worried, then I remembered that God is a good God. He is my provider. I have NEVER
EVER worried about my finances for my future. In all honest, I could say that I never worried. I believed that I should NOT
live from paycheck to paycheck because I am a child of God. I'm rich in Him. I refused to live with just enough. I had faith
that I will live with MORE than enough. So I prayed to God and said that He is my provider. I claimed His promise in
Malachi 3:10. I trust in Him alone. I'm a tither and when I had no income, I tithe every money I get. God calls us to tithe
10%, I tithe more. Sometimes 50%, sometimes I just give the whole thing. Then God provided me with a flexible and easy job,
and I still tithe. So why worry??? I prayed and I stopped worrying. 4 days later, my manager comes up to me and gives
me two paychecks! He said there was a paycheck I didn't pick up. So now, I have almost $900 in my account! Praise the Lord!
Truly, if you just stay faithful to Him, He will stay faithful to you!!!
