Dear Friends:

Praise the Lord for the $100,000.00 building fund we have raised through your generous contributions. However, we still need to come out with $1,900,000.00 until July of 2004.               

The word of God says in James 2:17, “Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”

Allow me to share a working-faith story of a five-year old boy whose faith sees no obstacle in raising money for the building fund.  While sitting in the living room of their house during our prayer meeting, I noticed three plastic bottles on the side table (one for silver coins, one for copper coins and the last one for bills and checks) with a sign, “Please give money for the building fund,” which was prepared by the little boy. On several occasions, he knocked at the door of his parents’ and sisters’ rooms asking them to give money for the building fund.

The faith of this boy continues to soar even though we were unable to raise the half million dollar down payment on the due date. He possesses great faith and inspiring hope and sees with a clear vision a church where he and his family can praise together and pray together. Let him be a challenge to us in realizing our goal of buying a church building. I believe God allowed us to be challenged by his persistent faith so we can all participate in this building project.
